I have been devoted to evolving consciousness and Truth since childhood, first exploring spiritual philosophies in my early teens and learning meditation over 40 years ago. Now, as an “elder”, I draw upon 60 years of life experience to support those who cross my path.
The Human Condition
Through direct experience of witnessing the effects of trauma, love and loss, birth and death, raising a family, suicide, depression and ancestral conditioning….in fact, The Human Condition, I came to understand that it is through our darkest moments we have an opportunity to see beyond the usual and into a greater Reality.
During those periods I learned more about the nature of the mind, the structure of the ego, and the deep collective conditioning which keeps us prisoner and blind to our expansive, authentic nature.
In the 80s, during my first job as a press photographer on a regional daily broadsheet, I used to escape the high stress environment of the Newsroom to practice Transcendental Meditation in the car park at lunch time.
During this time I trained as a volunteer for The Samaritans help line for the suicidal and depressed. I found that meditation helped me.
Healing & Hypnotherapy
I left professional photography after ten years to explore complementary health and trained at the Proudfoot School of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy in 1990 in addition to energy healing systems including the EMF Balancing Technique, Sekhem & Reiki.
In the mid 90s I was involved with Palden Jenkin’s Hundredth Monkey Project which organised large international “Circle Working Camps.” and regular meditation gatherings.
I later learned Pure Meditation/Raja- Kriya Yoga ( Yogananda kriya- yoga lineage) at the Self-Realization Meditation Healing Centre in Somerset in 2005 and continued with professional training in Spiritual Healing, Spiritual Knowledge & Philosophy and Energy Care.
After moving to Sussex from Devon in 2006 I joined the Brighton based charity Active Lightworks as a volunteer healer and was part of their management team for over three years before setting up The Community Wellness Project outside Brighton.
Refugees in Lesvos
During 2016 I was drawn to assist the unfolding humanitarian refugee crisis in Lesvos and volunteered at the Better Days for Moria camp. This lead to joining Healing Hands Network which is dedicated to the relief of suffering from the after effects of War. I volunteered with a monthly Combat Stress Veterans Support group in Ipswich
I have attended regular annual retreats with realized teachers Dave Oshana in Finland and B Prior in Europe until 2019, and was a registered teacher of The Form Reality Practice under B Prior until recently.
Additionally, I have studied Energy Field (PIP)Photography at The Centre for Human Energy Field Research in Exeter, among many other specialized courses and retrained in Hypnotherapy in 2020 with the East Anglian Institute
I have recently been involved (Interviewing therapists and filming dances) with the Dancewise Project– Releasing trauma through Dance. Set up by International Circle Dance teacher Stefan Freedman in Ipswich.
In 2024/25 I took online training with the Miksang Institute of Contemplative Photography.
